Full Version: 1st attempt at 3d modeling/rendering
thebooms.80
My 1st attempt at using a 3d program (3ds max) to create a basic little scene.
It's sooo difficult, I'm teaching myself and having a really hard time finding good tutorials.

When you're starting off, i really recommend learning the solid basics.
Lynda or Digital Tutors are good places to start.
Gnomon workshop for when you get better.

Self teaching a 3d program using free tutorials can take you years to get it down.

Max is a widely used 3d program, theres a ton of resources out there once you've learn the basics. Max infact may have the most resources out there of any other 3D programs. It's doesn't have as hard a learning curve as other similar industry level programs like maya, xsi and houdini.

I myself use maya, so i can't really give any tips.
Have fun learning x].
